Pinwheel Spinner

Pinwheel spinner card

This card is made with a fun spinning pinwheel. Also know as a slider card or a spinner card.

The first step is to cut a piece of Calypso Coral Card Stock measuring 4" by 5 1/4". You can then emboss this using the Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder.

Spinner

The grove for the pinwheel spinner is created using the Word Window Punch. Line the punch up even with the sides and push the punch as far into the card stock as you can. This will help ensure that your grove is even.

Add your piece of Calypso Coral card stock to a Whisper White card base (measuring 8 1/2" by 5 1/2") using several dimensionals. You want to make sure that this piece is lifted off the base of your card. This will help the pinwheel spin once it is in place.

Pinwheelcut

Create the pinwheel using the Pinwheel Sizzlits Die and the Floral District Designer Series Paper.

Pinwheel

Form the pinwheel by folding the points in towards the middle. Use a small brad to keep the pinwheel points in place.

Penny

Create a 'penny sandwich' by putting two pennies together with a dimensional in between them.

Pinwheel closeup

Attach the pinwheel to the pennies using a dimensional and carefully put this into the grove that you created.

Pinwheel spinner card

Stamp your greeting in the grove using Calypso Coral ink and embellish your card with a flag and button and Calypso Coral Twine.

You have finished your spinner card! Hold the card upright for the best spinning action and watch your pinwheel spin!
