Christmasquiltcard

This is an easy card using strips of DSP to create a quilted effect.

Cut a Cherry Cobbler cardbase that measures 11" by 4 1/4".

Next cut a piece of Old Olive cardstock that measures 5 1/4" by 4"

Cut 15 strips of different DSP pieces that measure 3/4" wide. You will need at least two strips that are 3/4" wide by 6" long. The remaining strips can be a variety of lengths.

Starting towards the middle of your Old Olive piece of cardstock, glue one of your strips of DSP that is 3/4" by 6" down. You will then glue a second piece of DSP with the same measurements next to that piece, making sure to leave a 1/8" gap. It is important that these pieces of DSP hang off the edge of the cardstock.

Going the other direction lay out the remaining pieces of DSP. Once you are satisfied with the look you can glue these down. Again, making sure that you leave a 1/8" gap between pieces.

All of your pieces need to hang off the cardstock.

Once all your DSP pieces are glued on, you can then trim everything that is hanging off the edge of your cardstock.

Stamp your greeting in Versamark ink on Whisper White cardstock and heat emboss using Gold embossing powder. Cut this out using the Stitched So Sweetly Framelits.

Tie a piece of gold twine around your DSP piece and add your greeting piece using dimensionals.

This piece can now be adhered to your card front.

Enjoy your beautiful quilted Christmas card!
